Eglwysegl, Dinbren and the manor of Cynllaith Owain,

Title deeds where the grouping appears to be original. They include an inspeximus of letters patent made in 1553, granting the township of Eglwysegl to William Fitzwilliam and Arthur Hilton, 1555; a gift of land in Dinbren to Henry ap David Lloyd, 1597; inquisition post mortem Edward Price, son of Edward Price, 1604; a Crown lease of the manor of Cynllaith Owain and properties once belonging to Owain Glyndwr to Owen Vaughan [of Llwydiarth], 1605; agreement and assignment by Sir Edward Herbert to Owen Vaughan of the wardship of the daughters of Edward Price, 1606-1607; court decrees in favour of Richard Price, brother of E.P., and Mathias Springham the tenant, following legal action against Owen Vaughan, 1611; lease by Mathias Springham, a London merchant tailor, to Oliver Morice of Llangedwyn, and assignments to William Salesbury of Rug [trustee of Owen Vaughan], 1613-1614; feoffment by Richard Price to Arthur Puckell, a London mercer, for a consideration paid by Springham, 1614; assignments by Springham and Puckell of recognizances in statute staple to Robert Vaughan of the Inner Temple, for the better securing of the premises to William Salesbury, 1616; post-nuptial settlement of Owen Vaughan and Johan (Joan) his second wife, 1616; lease by Joan Vaughan, widow, to Robert Vaughan of Llwydiarth, 1617; grant of an annuity out of Eglwysegl and Dinbren to Edward Vaughan, brother of Robert Vaughan, 1619; sale by Richard Price of Erw Bant in Dinbren to Edward Moyses of Llangollen Fawr, 1647; mortgage by Edward Moyses of a house in Llangollen Tirabad and Erw Bant, 1650; family settlements between Richard Price and his daughter Katherine, wife of Leonarde Thompson, 1651; and plea and demurrer of Edward Vaughan to the complaint of Leonard Thompson, 1652.
