Extracts relating to Llanbadarn Fawr,
A volume of extracts (partly with carbon copies) from printed sources, compiled by W. P. Elwy Jones of Cwmpadarn Council School and of Aberystwyth, towards a history of the parish of Llanbadarn Fawr, Cardiganshire. The volume also contains lists of dialect words.

Six notebooks containing notes of sermons. Five are in the hand of Timothy Evans (d. 1837), vicar of Llanbadarn Trefeglwys and Cilcennin, Cardiganshire, and contain sermons which were preached during the period 1797-1812 at Llanb[adarn Trefeglwys] and Kilk[ennin], Llandewi [Aberarth], Llandinol, Llansantffraed, and Kiliau [Aeron]. The sixth notebook contains a sermon in another hand which was preached at Llanbadarn Trefeglwys and Cilcennin on 8 July, 1787, and which bears the inscription 'By V. Davies'.

A bound volume containing holograph notes and pencil and pen-and-ink sketches [by the Reverend Elias Owen, vicar of Efenechdyd, 1881-1892, and of Llanyblodwel, 1892-1899, being material subsequently incorporated in his published work Old Stone Crosses of the Vale of Clwyd and Neighbouring Parishes, together with some Account of the Ancient Manners and Customs and Legendary Lore connected with the Parishes (London [1886])].
Owen, Elias
A note-book possibly in the hand of the Reverend John Evans, Baptist minister, best known as John Evans, Abercannaid, Merthyr. The contents consist entirely of sermon notes, 1827-1829 and undated. Inset are loose items, including a note addressed by D. Rhys Stephen, from Abertawy, to the Reverend John Evans, [18]31 (accompanying a copy of a three-stanza hymn by John Morris, headed 'Hymn dduwiol a gyfansoddwyd i'r Parch. Mr. Davies, Alltwen'), and further sermon notes, [18]44 and [18]67, bearing the initials 'J.E.'., or the signature 'John Evans'.
