Twenty-nine letters, April-May 1896, discussing the proposed establishment of a Welsh (or Cymric) Institute as a meeting place for the Welsh in London. The letters are addressed to T. J. Evans as editor of the London Kelt (Celt Llundain), in which some were subsequently published.
The correspondents (listed on f. 59) include A. C. Humphreys-Owen (ff. 26-27), J. E. Morris (ff. 32-33), Sir Lewis Morris (ff. 34-35), Isambard Owen (ff. 36-37), J. Bryn Roberts (ff. 48-49), J. Some thirty-eight letters, 1906-1930, in English and Welsh, addressed to Thomas Huws Davies, relating to the work of the Welsh Church Commission (of which he was secretary, 1914-1940) and to other religious bodies in Wales and the Welsh Church Acts.

Llewelyn Williams, 1910-1917 (ff. 61-70). Also included are one letter each from Davies, 1919 (ff. 42-45), and A. G. Edwards, 1920 (f. 16), to Sir H. W. Primrose; a letter from C[harles] P[restwich] Scott to J. Arthur Price, 1912 (f. 47); and two drafts of a letter by Davies, on behalf of the Home Secretary, published in The Times, 17 June 1912, p. 4 (ff. 71-77).

Two holograph letters from David Robert Daniel, organising agent, North Wales Quarrymen's Union, from Fourcrosses, Chwilog, to [David] Lloyd Humphreys [of Blaenau Ffestiniog, aft. of Pwllheli], 1899 (labour relations in the North Wales slate industry), and twenty holograph letters and post cards from D. R. Daniel, Camberwell, etc., to J[ohn] Lloyd Humphreys, Dolawel, Blaenau Ffestiniog [brother of David Lloyd Humphreys, and quarry manager, etc.], 1918-1930 and undated (books, World War I, an appreciation of [J.] Glyn Davies, the writer's health, the collection of dialect terms, an appreciation of W. Llewelyn Williams, comments on [John Davies] 'Siôn Gymro', parliamentary elections and current politics, the preservation of the Welsh language, observations on [Elfennau Gwleidyddiaeth by J.] Jones Roberts, personal, news of friends, etc.).

Minutes, 1937-9, of the ‘Llewelyn Williams Memorial Tablet Fund Committee’, formed for the purpose of erecting a memorial tablet to [William] Llewelyn Williams (1867-1922) [Member of Parliament for Carmarthen Boroughs, 1906- 18, and author], near his birthplace, Brownhill, near Llangadock, parish of Llansadwrn, co. Carmarthen; also a typescript copy of an agreement, 21 March 1939, between [Mrs.] Eleanor Etna Audley Foley-Philipps of Abermarlais, co. Carmarthen, of the one part, and the Carmarthen County Council, of the other, whereby the first party agreed to lease to the said Council, as trustees, the piece of ground upon which the memorial had been erected, with right of access, etc.

Correspondence, papers and press cuttings, 1911-1912, relating to the Welsh Nationalist League (Cyngrair Cenedlaethol Cymreig), formed at Caernarfon in January 1911 to press for Home Rule for Wales on federal lines and organised by Dr Edward Lloyd Owen ('Iorwerth Feddyg') and John Williams ('Cambrensis'), both of Cricieth. There are also a few papers relating to the St David's Order of Chivalry (Urdd Arwrol Dewi Sant), founded in 1912. The correspondence, mainly addressed to 'Cambrensis', includes letters from W. Llewelyn Williams, MP, Walter F. Roch, MP, Sir J. Herbert Lewis, MP, Francis Edwards, MP, E. T. John, MP (8), Clement Edwards, MP, the Reverend E. Tyrrell-Green, Beriah Gwynfe Evans (2), Silyn Roberts and Lord Harlech.
