The file comprises correspondence and papers, 1972, relating to the proceedings and report of the Committee of Inquiry on Bilingual Road Signs chaired by Dr Roderic Bowen. It includes letters from Dr Gwynfor Evans, Peter Thomas MP (later the Lord Thomas of Gwydir) and Dafydd Williams, general secretary of Plaid Cymru.

D. Evans.

A copy of the National Archives's file, HO 144/22915, relating to the growth of the Welsh National Movement in Wales and how to use the royal family in order to try to impede this, 1939-1941.

The archive represents the working papers of a major ironworking dynasty.

Numerous collections of folk songs and hymn tunes accumulated by J. Lloyd Williams before and during his period as Editor of the Journal of the Welsh Folk-Song Society, including material which he himself had recorded and items submitted to him by others. Indexes, lists, related notes and press cuttings are also included.

'Helps towards a more copious Cambrian Biography' containing 'A List [the surnames alphabetically arranged] of Welshmen who attained the Episcopal Dignity, from the year 1558 ... to 1714'. At the beginning is an extract from a letter, dated October 7, 1825, from John Jenkins ('Ifor Ceri', 1770-1829) to Thomas Beynon, archdeacon of Cardigan.
