The papers were apparently removed from Newport, Pembrokeshire, by Mrs Eryl Williams, first to The Moat in the parish of Kerry, Montgomeryshire, and then to Pigeonsford in Llangranog, Ceredigion.

Scope and content
Estate, personal, professional and shipping records of the Havard family of Newport and Milford, both in Pembrokeshire, including the business papers, 1839-1858, of Levi Havard of Milford, shipbuilder, and the professional papers, 1867-1893, of Dr David Havard of Newport, District Medical Officer for the Cardigan Poor Law Union. Amongst the shipping records there are papers, 1833-1879, relating to the Newport schooners 'Harmony','Claudia' and 'Adroit', and the Milford brig 'Anne'.
