The file comprises the marriage settlement of John Griffith (2) of Garn and Mary Davies of Trewylan, Montgomeryshire, 1723; assignments of right and title and a general release, 1743-1744, 1748, to John Griffith (2) by the daughters of John Griffith (1), or their surviving relatives, following the payment of legacies owed to them under the latter's will of 1685, with a memorandum that the 1743 deed was used in a Chancery case in 1748; a trust settlement of a moiety of the Roe estate in St Asaph, 1755, for the purpose of compensating John Griffith (2) 's children for the sale in 1754 of his deceased wife 's estate in Collfryn and Trefnannau, in accordance with the terms of his marriage settlement.
