Gift by Thomas Lageles, to Margam Abbey, in remembrance of certain benefits conferred on him, his father, and his mother by the monks, of all the land of his demesne from the south part of the chapel now St David's, and on the east of the old m. which stood in the garden now cut down ('excisum'), near the high road from Kairdif to Kenefeg, with m. and croft which belonged to Godchild near the said road. The whole to be taken as 16 a. This charter the donor placed on the altar, which he kissed in the presence of all the convent, who received him as brother and partaker of all its goods, until the end'.
