Printed and bound Petition of appeal, Appellant's case, Respondent's case and Index in an appeal from HM Court of Appeal (England) to the House of Lords. The case relates to the purchase by the appellants of a quantity of government surplus tinned soups lying at HM Depot, Deptford, 1919, the remainder of which (c.16,000 cases) they sold in May 1920 to W. Archer & Co. Ltd, financed by eight bills of £1,000 each and one bill of £117 6s. 4d., payable in six months, guaranteed by Nash & Co. of Cambrian Mills, Newtown, co. Mont., the respondents, a partnership of four, Nash, father and son, chemists, and a retired farmer and an auctioneer, the partnership having been formed to deal in government stores.
