Material relating to Dannie Abse's 1948 play Fire in Heaven (later retitled Is The House Shut (1964) and In The Cage (1967), which includes printed theatrical programmes, poster and flyer; press reviews, including one relating to the published version of the play (Hutchinson, 1956); draft poetry, with corrections in Abse's hand, for inclusion in a production of In The Cage; and correspondence, which includes a letter to Abse's brother, the psychiatrist Dr Wilfred Abse. The Questors Theatre New Plays Festival 1964 programme features autographs of cast and production crew, which includes Dannie Abse's signature
