Two hundred and twenty-nine letters, 1901-1986, to Lucy Penny from various family members and friends and acquaintances, including fifty from her Aunts Kate, Dora and Etta and other Johnson relatives, 1901-1970; fourteen from her mother-in-law Mary Penny, 1912-1931 (addressed to both Lucy and her husband Hounsell Penny); a single Christmas card from Hounsell Penny, [n.d.]; six letters from her son-in-law Gerard Casey, 1958-1977; twenty-five from Alyse Gregory, 1940-1967, with ten from other partners of her siblings, 1905-1956; letters from her friends Monica Blake (28, postcards), 1938-1969, Bernard Price O’Neill (20), 1909-1947, Louis Wilkinson (14), 1904-1960, Emily Clare (9), 1906-1934, Valentine Ackland (11), 1965-1969, Florida Scott-Maxwell (5), 1963-1969, and John Redwood Anderson (7), 1943-1963; and some twenty-five miscellaneous letters from other acquaintances, 1925-1986.
