Biographical history

Robert Owen (Bob Owen, Croesor; 1885-1962), was an antiquary and book-collector from Llanfrothen, Merionethshire. His interests lay in local history and Welsh genealogy, as well as the history of the Welsh in America.

Typescript and autograph essay by Robert Owen (Bob Owen Croesor) on 'Enwogion sir Ddinbych yn ystod y bedwaredd ganrif ar bymtheg', successfully entered for competition at the Denbigh County Eisteddfod, Rhosllannerchrugog, 1920; together with notes by the Reverend Samuel Owen recording various events, 1864-1898, associated with his ministry at Bethel Welsh Calvinistic Methodist church, Tanygrisiau, Merionethshire (ff. 166-71).
