A miscellany of prose and verse containing versions of 'Dares Phrygius' and 'Brut Tysilio', an abridged version of a portion of 'Brut y Saeson', 'Ymddiddan yr Enaid a'r Corff', and englynion by Ieuan Prise, Robin Ddu o Fôn, Thomas Llewelin, Guto'r Glyn, Hugh Powell, and John Parry.

Diary, 1845, including impromptu englynion written by Joseph Jenkins at the beginning of the volume after he and his two friends were denied an entry into the Chapel of St. David's College [Lampeter] because of their rustic dress. The englynion were later published in Dan Jenkins (editor), Cerddi Cerngoch (Lampeter, 1904).

A volume, 1855 (watermark 1845), in the hand of John Hughes, Llanerchymedd, Anglesey, containing transcripts of letters and poetry, and other texts.
The volume contains items apparently copied from an untraced manuscript of John William Prichard (ff. 1 verso-25 verso), including transcripts of seven letters, 1751-1757, from Goronwy Owen to William Morris (ff. 2-20 verso, Welsh, English), and one, 1741, from Goronwy Owen to Owen Meyrick (ff. 21-22 verso, Latin, English), all of which appear in The Letters of Goronwy Owen (1723-1769), ed. by J. H. Davies (Cardiff, 1924); a transcript of a letter, 1806, from William Owen-Pughe to Prichard (f. 25 recto-verso); Goronwy Owen's Latin poem 'On Captain Thomas Ffoulkes' Escape…' (ff. 23-24); and englyns in Latin, English and Welsh by Edward Morris (f. 24). The volume also contains a copy of a poem ascribed to Robert Duke of Normandy but probably written by Iolo Morganwg (see The Gentleman's Magazine, 76 (1794), 981) (ff. 26 verso-27); a translation into English [by John Hughes] of the poem 'Y Gorwynion' (ff. 27 verso-31); a list describing the parish churches of Anglesey and their founders (ff. 68-74 verso); and descriptions of the Fifteen Tribes of North Wales (and a few others), with the blazons of their arms (ff. 76-81 verso). Items found loose within the volume (7 ff.) have been tipped in on blank leaves (ff. 32-34, 83), with the exception of a copy, 1799, by John William Prichard, of the poem 'Yr Eneth o'r Bryn', said to have been translated from English by Goronwy Owen (see Alan Llwyd, Gronwy Ddiafael, Gronwy Ddu: Cofiant Goronwy Owen 1723-1769 (1997), p. 58), which is loose at the end of the volume (f. 137).

A transcript made in 1575 by Sir Thomas Williams ('physycwr', 'o Drefriw') of an ancient manuscript written on vellum and then in the possession of Maurice Wynn of Gwydir. It contained a Llevelys version of Geoffrey of Monmouth's 'Historia y Brenhinedd' preceded by 'Historia Daret'. In the transcript 'Historia Daret' wants seven or eight pages of its beginning, and ends '... dwy vil a phumcant o ganlyniawdd Antenor, mil a deucant Helenus ac Andromacha. Yd hynn ydd sycrivened historia Daret', with a list following of names of Greek and Trojan warriors slain by leaders on either side. 'Historia y Brenhinedd' begins (without the prologue): 'Aeneas yscwyddwyn wedi ymladd Tro a destryw y gaer ...' and ends: 'Ac yuelly y tervyna istoria y brenhined cenedl vrython ynys Brydein ac ymladeu Tro a Groec'. The text is followed by a short Latin poem beginning: 'Bruti posteritas Albanis associata ...' There is also a Welsh englyn on a blank page between the two texts and at the beginning of the volume are two letters from W. W. E. Wynne (Peniarth) to a former owner of the manuscript, 1875.

A miscellany compiled partly in his eighty-fifth year (1760) by John Davies or David of Pentre Vidoc (or Foelas) and containing eleven psalms in 'cywydd' metre by Sion Tudur, 'cywyddau' by Humphrey Thomas ('Bardd yr Ennig') and others unnamed, an 'awdl gyffes' by Sion Phylip, 'englynion' by Edward Morys, Richard Jones, and Owen Gruffydd, 'tribanau', a transcript of a Welsh historical chart (beginning with a synopsis of the 'Promptuarium Biblia' and continued to the reign of Richard III) compiled by John Gruffudd Eyton (1513), anecdotes, and holograph 'englynion' addressed to John Davies by T. E. Nant. (i.e., Thomas Edwards, 'Twm or Nant').

Notebook of Joseph Jenkins, [1869]-1887, containing his poems including 'The Swagman's Complaint', 'Our Age is only a Race for Life', Victoria, 1871; englyn 'Y ddanod' (toothache); two verses which he composed on the request of his daughter Elinor to commemorate his two sons Jenkin and Lewis who died in their twenties; verses to congratulate Caradog and his choir on their success in 1873; a poem in memory of his friend Ioan Mynyw [John Lewis], 1873; a number of poems written by him as a patient in Maryborough Hospital, 1874, and on leaving; and four lines, 1887, written after the death of his daughter Margaret in 1883.

The volume comprises a diary kept during a week of sightseeing and preaching, travelling from Bala, Merioneth, to Llandudno, Caernarvonshire (ff. 4-9 verso), and including a copy of an englyn by an unknown author (possibly Richard himself) (f. 8), together with notes for sermons on Biblical texts which were probably delivered during the tour (ff. 10-26 verso, inverted text).
