Arrangements to hold the election were made at the last minute as the UK had been due to leave the EU at the end of Marh 2019 and two new parties. the Brexit Party and Change UK - The Independent Group joined the established parties in fighting the election. File also includes some material circulated in England for the elections.

Personal papers

The group comprises personal papers, being letters written by and received by the Griffith family, 1724-1943, letters of families such as Hughes of Gwydir, Weeg, Llwyn Gronw and Cae'rberllan, Roberts of Bryn y neuadd, Wynne of Garthmeilio and Plasnewydd, and others, 1680-1882, small diaries, pocket notebooks and almanacks containing memoranda and personal notes, 1701-1853, a few photographs, postcards and other memorabilia, 1901-[c. 1940], school papers, certificates and appointments, 1746-1920. The family members who are most frequently represented here are Jane Griffith (nee Hughes), John Wynne Griffith, Jane Griffith (nee Wynne), George Griffith, Edward Humphrey Griffith, William Henry Griffith and William Douglas Wynne Griffith. The letters, notebooks and diaries are illustrative of late eighteenth and nineteenth century life, particularly with regard to the family and household, social engagements, sporting activities, travel, elections, contemporary local and national events, domestic organisation and estate management.

P./Liberal Alliance and Welsh Liberal Democrats for elections to South Glamorgan County Council, Cardiff City Council, Cardiff County Council, UK General Elections, by-elections, elections to the National Assembly for Wales and the European Parliament as well as Focus local community newsletters distributed in the Cardiff area.

File contains materiel distributed across Wales by the Liberal Democrats in the campaign for the election to the European Parliament in 1989, including leaflets, leaflet templates, press releases and newspaper articles.

File contains material relating to the elections to the European Parliament in 1994 including, a copy of the Liberal Democrat manifesto "Making Europe work for us", internal party correspondence, leaflet drafts, a document for candidates entitled "Dealing with attacks in the 1994 European election", press releases, leaflets, posters, guides for candidates and a copy of the Welsh Liberal Democrats manifesto "Unlocking the potential of Wales".
