Plaid Cymru, the Welsh Liberal Democrats and the Green Party entered into a 'Remain Alliance' with the Welsh Liberal Democrats and the Plaid Cymru standing down in the Vale of Glamorgan and endorsing the Green Party as the best placed candidate in favour of the UK remaining a member of the European Union. Due to this arrangement, new Welsh nationalist party Gwlad Gwlad stood a candidate in this constituency but no address from them has been received.
