Original bundle of memoranda of assurance policies deposited to secure sums of money, covenants to secure sums of money, promissory notes, High Court judgments, receipts for the repayment of debts and agreements for the repayment of debts, including “I am willing & will retain the carriages once belonging to the Hon’ble A. Walsh in full discharge of the amount”, 1909. Also leases of Warfield Park by Arthur, lord Ormathwaite to Lady Clementine Walsh, 1894, 1899 and 1906, an assignment of a lease of Vale Lodge, Winkfield, Berkshire to Lady Clementine, 1903, an agreement with the Controller of Timber Supplies for the sale of timber at Llanddewi Ystradenni. Radnorshire, 1918, and a notice to Captain Robert Phipps Hornby to quit the right of shooting in t. Underskiddaw, p. Crosthwaite, Cumberland, 1921. Also share certificates in Taylor’s Matabele Gold Fields Ltd, 1899 (later represented by the Estates & Mining Co. of Rhodesia), and the Chastan Syndicate Ltd, 1907.
