Declaration of dower by Roger Sturmi, appointing to his wife Gunnilda at his marriage, 80 a. of arable land between the streams of the 'Ford of Tav' and of Chenewini, lying between the way which leads from the stream of the 'Ford of Tav' to the stone well ('Fons Petre'), and the old castle upon the great mountain. The overplus of his land there is to be divided between his two daughters. Witnesses:- The Abbot of Margam, C.; and Walter de Cardif, monk of Margam; Glou the priest of Nova-Villa, or Newton; Thomas the priest of Villa Sturmi, or Sturmieston; Bernard the priest; Walter Luvel; Walter, son of Wlric.
