Title deeds of houses and lands mainly in the township of Cwmrheidol in the parish of Llanbadarn Fawr, 1544-1671. Boundaries include the river Rheidol and Tir y Castell. Some deeds also include properties in Trefeurig (see endorsement). The earliest deed is a quitclaim by Morice ap Ieuan ap Rees of Llanbadarn Fawr to Morgan ap John ap John ap D'd Lloid, of Tythyn Aber Com Lain Y Dyol, Blaen Com Llain Y Dyol and a cottage called Penning, 1543/4. Subsequent deeds refer to Y Thole Ddy in Kwm Reidioll and four tenements in Trefeurig, acquired by John Pryse of Gogerddan from Thomas Lewes of Llanbadarn Fawr, 1583; Gwndome Gwyn, Helva Yssa, Tuthyn Llan Y Diol, Tythin y Llechweth Hen and a dairy house called Lle Llyest y Nant Gouche, Tuthyn y Penrhyn Moylddy and Tuthyn Tale y Ddinas, purchased by Sir Richard Pryse (elder and younger) between 1610 and 1636; and Tir Pen Rhiw Llain y Diol, Gweddw Llain y Diol and Llain Wen Yn Ystlys y Castell, purchased by Dame Gwen Pryse, 1632. The file also contains a quitclaim to Humfrey Griffith, of Tythen Troed Rywlainidol or Tythen Morris Gittin Goch yn Habed, Nantyrachub in Nant Gredin and Yrachyb ym Mlaen Hirnant, Yr Aghyb Ynghareg y Gath, and land in Gwegil Castell, 1570; a conveyance by John Jones of Nanteos to Sir Richard Pryse, of land in Aberystwyth and Lainadiol, Llaine Vach and Troed Llainadioll in Cwmrheidol, 1664/5; and a release by Sir Richard Pryse of Gogerddan, to Evan Lloyd of Llanbadarn Fawr, of Tythyn Pont Erwyd in the township of Cwmrheidol, with a covenant for suit of mill at Melindwr, 1671
