Letters received by the District Secretary from head office at Manchester, Lodge officers, and individual members, together with circulars and papers sent from Manchester. Most of the letters relate to payments of contributions and benefits by and to members, quinquennial valuations, payments of levies to Funds, payments to banks, Lodge difficulties and problems, and, from 1958 onwards, amalgamation of Lodges.

Arranged chronologically at NLW. Within each file the letters and papers are also arranged chronologically apart from letters and papers relating to specific subjects which were originally stapled together by the District Secretary; these have now been filed by the earliest date.
