Biographical history
Dr Colin A. Gresham (1913-1989) of Criccieth, Caernarfonshire, was an archaeologist and historian. He published Medieval Stone Carving in North Wales in 1968 and Eifionydd, A Study in Landownership from the Medieval Period to the Present Day in 1973. He jointly published with E.G. Bowen The History of Merioneth, vol. 1: From the earliest times to the age of the native princes in 1969 as well as Teulu'r Tryfan in 1982.
Archival history
The papers of Colin Gresham originally included those of his close friend the archaeologist W. J. Hemp. These were transferred to the Royal Commission on Historical Monuments in Wales. The papers of Colin Gresham were filed before they were acquired by the NLW.
