Pan gafodd Dilys Williams, chwaer Waldo, swydd athrawes yn Ysgol Wdig, bu'n lletya am flynyddoedd lawer yng nghartref Benni ac Elsie Lewis yn Glasfryn, Llanwnda, Wdig, Sir Benfro. Bu'r ddau yn gyfeillion triw i Waldo a Dilys hyd ddiwedd eu hoes.
Ganed Mary Enid Williams ym 1903, yn ail blentyn i John Edwal ac Angharad Williams (née Jones) ac yn chwaer hŷn i Waldo Williams. Wedi marw ei gŵr, Jack Francis, ym 1957, bu Waldo'n lletya yn ei chartref am rai blynyddoedd. Bu farw Mary ychydig fisoedd ar ôl Waldo, ym 1971.
