From NLW Annual Report 2001-2002, p43. "Another event which took place in the Atrium was the Celtic Connections concert on 22 June. It was an unforgettable evening with Irish traditional music by pupils from Co Wexford, Welsh songs by Ysgol Gerdd Ceredigion, and outstanding performances by the young violinist Davi Singh and the renowned harpist Elinor Bennett. To crown the evening Ysgol Gerdd Ceredigion performed 'Agoriad' and presented the score to the Library. The libretto by Menna Elfyn was written for Celtic Connections, and the music composed byJohn Metcalf, with Irish words by Michael Coady. The food prepared by Taste of Wales was an added bonus. Among the guests for the evening were dafydd Wigley AM, Elin Jones AM, Rhodri Glyn Thomas AM, Simon Thomas MP, and Conor O'Riordan, the Irish Consul General."
