Miscellaneous papers from the office of Longueville and Co. relating to the Wynnstay estate, 1885-1925. They include draft leases by George Culley, Commissioner of the Office of Woods and Forests, etc. acting for the Crown to Sir Herbert Lloyd Watkin Williams Wynn of gold and silver ores under the lesseeās lands after the discovery of gold in Merioneth, with supporting historical evidence, and correspondence mentioning the gold mine at Castell Carn Dochan, Llanuwchllyn, 1888-1891. The cases for opinion concern fishing rights in Llyn Lliw Bran, Llanuwchllyn; a proposed mortgage on part of the Wynnstay settled estate in Llanbryn-mair; the application of capital funds for further estate improvements under the Settled Land Acts; the appointment of a new trustee; and the entitlement of Lady Williams Wynn to enter and manage the estates, including letting the sporting, 1891-1897. The file also includes a schedule of Wynnstay family deeds, 1856-1904, compiled 1904; a counterpart agreement for shooting on Bwlchygroes Moor, 1919; and a wayleave to North Wales Power Company Limited for the installation of electricity lines and cables over Wynnstay land at Ruabon, with map, 1925. There are several plans: Bala and Ffestiniog Railway at Trawsfyfndd, tracing [?c. 1885]; and non-conformist chapels at Cefndwy-graig, Dolhendre, Pont Dolanog, Goshen, Llanerfyl, Wern, Llanbryn-mair, Sion, Llanwrin, Llanwrin village, Graig, Staylittle, Siloh, Pont Llogell, and Ffolt, Llanfair Dyffryn Clwyd, numbered 1-10, dated 1885.
