Award of Sir Thomas Awdeley, kt, Lord Awdeley of Walden and Lord Chancellor of England, and Sir William Paullet, kt, Lord St John, Master of the King's Court of Wards and Liveries, in the dispute between John Puleston of Carnarvon, esq., in the name of Jane, Katheryne, and Ellen Gruffyth, daughter and heirs general of Edward Gruffith, late of Penryn, co. Caern., esq., dec., now in ward to the King's Highness by reason of their minority, and Jane Gruffith, late the wife of the said Edward Gruffith, on the one part, and Rice Gruffith of Penryn aforesaid, esq., claiming as brother and heir male unto the said Edward Gruffith, on the other part, touching the estate of the said Edward Gruffith. They award that Rice Gruffith shall have the manor of Penrin in the town of Cororion of the yearly value of £65, the lands and tmt's in Bodvaye of the yearly value of 61s., lands and tmt's in Bangor and Maynold Bangor of the yearly value of £16.2.2, co. Caern., lands and tmt's in the town of Bewmarys, co. Ang., of the yearly value of £19.2.9, in all of the yearly value of £103.5.11; to Jane, late wife of the said Edward, during her life, dowry of all the manors , lands and tmt's afore awarded to Rise Gruffith, viz. the town of Cororion, parcel of the manor of Penrin, tmt in the tenure of Tether ap Grono of the yearly value of 40s., a tmt in the tenure of William Apharry of the yearly value of 40s., a tmt in the tenure of Gruffyth ap William of the yearly value of 40s., a tmt in the tenure of Morris Mayne of the yearly value of 40s., a tmt in the tenure of Jane Lady Griffith of the yearly value of 40s., a tmt in the tenure of John ap Md of the yearly value of 40s., a tmt in the tenure of William ap Rice of the yearly value of 20s., a tmt in the tenure of William ap Rice of the yearly value of 13s.4, a tmt in the tenure of Ievan de lyneor of the yearly value of 15s.4, a tmt in the tenure of Ievan ap Phipheon of the yearly value of 26s.8, a tmt in the tenure of William David ap John of the yearly value of 21s.8, a tmt in the tenure of Ievan ap Md of the yearly value of 31s.2, a tmt in the tenure of Richard ap William ap David ap Bangor of the yearly value of 40s., lands and tmt's in Bodvay of the yearly value of 41s., lands and tmt's in Bangor and Maynold Bangor in the cmt. at Escorvoye (specified by name of tenant, etc.), and lands and tmt's in the town of Beawares amounting in all to the yearly value of £33.7.8; to Jane, Katherine, and Ellen, they award all the other manors, lands, and tmt's in cos Caern. and Ang. which belonged to Edward Gruffith, their father, provided that the said Jane shall have her dowry out of the premises.
