1 Anne Thelwall of Place Coch, co. Denb., widow, executor of the will of John Thelwall of the same, esq., her late husband, dec. 2 Ambrose Thelwall of the university of Oxford, esq., son and heir apparent of the said John Thelwall. Articles Of Agreement between 1 and 2: (i) 1 covenants to relinquish possession to 2 of one of the two mansion houses called Place Coch and Nathavern, otherwise Llanrith, co. Denb., as 2 shall select, 1 taking her jointure from other lands nearest the other house which 2 shall not choose, and shall also deliver the old plate and other goods of value, as she shall think fit, out of those left to her by the will of her late husband; (ii) 1 covenants to yield all the real estate of her late husband to 2 discharged from raising portions of £5,000; and (iii) 2 covenants to pay £3,700 to 1 as portions for Jane and Eubule Thelwall, Anne the eldest daughter having already married and received her portion, according to the codicil of her late father.
