1 Evan Jones of Tu yn y Celun, co. Mer., gent. 2 John Jones of Cefngoed, tanner. Articles Of Agreement between 1 and 2 being the younger sons of John Pugh of Cefngoed, gent., dec.: (i) 1 to have peaceful possession of a m. called Tu Cwtta and parcels of land called Cae Dan y Tu, otherwise Cae Tu Cwtta, Y Ddau Coed Cae, Y Ffrith Ucha and Wern Goch, t. Dyffrydan, [p. Brithdir and formerly in p. Dolgellau - cf. DA502-3, 505-6]; (ii) 2 to have peaceful possession of a m. called Y Tyddyn Du and parcels of land belonging called Cae yr Tu, Y Coed, Y Wern Fain, Y Wern Gron, Y Wern Fawr, Y Comons Bach, Cae yr Parke and Ffrith Issa, t. Dyffrydan; (iii) mutual covenants for the production of title deeds; (iv) 1 and 2 bound each in £200 for the performance of the above articles. Recites that John Pugh in the names of 1, 2 (called John Pugh the younger in some of the purchase deeds) and Lewis Jones, another yonger son of the said J.P., now dec., purchased the premises from Lewis Pugh [= Lewis ap Hugh in some of the deeds, e.g., DA398, 414-16], and that by his will, dated 1 Oct. 1713, J.P. devised Tu Cwtta to 1 and Y Tyddyn Du to 2.
