Abstract Of Lease for 39 years of the vein of coal called the Three Quarters Coal under lands called Llwyn y Pwll farm and any wastes adjoining, the messuages, dwelling houses and buildings at a place called the Clydach Bridge Colliery and of all the mines of coal constituting the said colliery, being under the parcel of land bounded on the east by the said farm and lands called Llwyn y Pwll farm and the River Clydach, on the west by a fault throwing the said coal several yards up to the west, on the north by the said River Clydach and the said fault, and on the south by the confines of the counties of Monmouth and Brecon, all in the parish of Llanelly, co. Brecon, together with the privileges granted to the lessees by the deed of 28 Dec. 1801, with the same exceptions therein in favour of the Duke of Beaufort; paying 4d per ton (of 21 cwt. of 120 lbs) for every ton raised and a heriot as stated in the previous deed; paying likewise to Messrs Kendall, West and Bevan £10 per annum in respect of the dwelling houses and buildings, 5d per ton for coal raised out of the Three Quarters Coal seam and 1d per ton for the other coal; it is agreed that 5000 tons coal yearly after the following 25 March would be raised from the Clydach Bridge Colliery.
