Administrative history
The Aberystwyth Peace Network, Cardiganshire, was founded in 1982 to co-ordinate various peace groups in Ceredigion, including the Anti-Falklands War Campaign CAAT (Campaign Against the Arms Trade), and Aberystwyth CND. It established links with Greenpeace and the Greenham Common Peace Camp. It has recently changed its name to Aberystwyth Peace and Justice Network.

Immediate source of acquisition or transfer
Donated by Sonia Hancock and Shirley Tunley, Dyfed, between 1990 and 1992. Additional papers were received from Shirley Tunley, February 2006 and January 2008.

Scope and content
Records of the Aberystwyth Peace Network, 1979-1991, including records relating to the Campaign Against the Arms Trade, 1977-1985; correspondence and records concerning Greenham Common Peace Camp, 1982-1984; and records relating to Greenpeace, 1984-1985.
A further group of papers comprising printed copies of minutes of meetings of the Aberystwyth Peace and Justice Network, 2003-2005, and also minutes of meetings 2006 and 2007 of the Aberystwyth Peace and Justice Network were received. These remain uncatalogued.
