Scrap-album

A scrap-album compiled, [1930s], by R. D. Roberts, containing press cuttings, bookplates and other printed items, [late 18 cent.]-1939, relating mostly to Abergele, with notes added by the compiler, pasted or tipped in on two copies, bound together, of Adelaide Anne Procter, Legends and Lyrics (London, 1888). The press cuttings consist mainly of a series of articles entitled 'After many years' by Thomas Jesse Jones, rector of Gelli-gaer, Glamorganshire, published in the Abergele and Pensarn Visitor, October 1928-March 1929, and which had previously been published in the same newspaper, 1924-1925. A letter, 1931, to R. D. Roberts from Sarah Elizabeth Jones, Llwyn, Llanbadarn Fawr, Cardiganshire, concerning the content of the articles, is tipped in on p. 92.
