Title deeds of miscellaneous properties relating to the Caethle estate, mainly in the townships and parish of Tywyn, 1555-1668. The properties include personal goods and chattels of Edward Powel of Nannau, Merioneth, mortgaged to Lewis Gwyn of Tywyn, 1555; Bryn y Kellowydd and Brynnier Aber in Aberdyfi (Aberdovey), purchased by Hugh ap D’d Lloid ap Edward, 1562; premises in Cefnrhos, in a fine and recovery involving John Pryse, 1577; Tythyn Mawr yn Aberdyvi, leased by Sir Richard Pryse of Gogerddan to Edward ap Hugh of Cefnrhos, 1604/5; and Fadva or Ddufadva, purchased by William Vaughan of Caethle from Jenkine Price of Penmaen, Merioneth, 1668. Other documents show transactions of the Nanney family of Nannau, Maesypandy and Lanfendigaid, and John Lloyd of Maesypandy, comprising three bonds, one by Maurice Price of Ystrad Faelog, Montgomeryshire, 1650, and two of which are for payment to Eleanor and Mary Hugh of Aberffrydlan, Montgomeryshire, 1668. The file also includes the will of Rees Vaughan ap Will’m of Corsygedol (1580), devising mainly mortgaged properties in Gwrych, Tywyn, Bron-prys, etc., proved 1582/3
